A White Christmas - Red and White, that is
Well, we have a red and white theme going at our house this year. We have two little trees outside the front door with red lights on them, and standing in red pots, with red and white painted rocks to fill the pots. Then the tree inside is all red and white ornaments...no blue, no gold, no silver...just red and white. The presents under the tree...all red paper, white paper, or red and white paper. The centerpiece on the dining table, and on the mantel...you guessed it, red and white. Very cute. So, here's wishing you a red and white Christmas.

For the record...I'm now a Southern Baptist, I guess
Well, I found a church here in Billings that I'm going to call home. Emmanuel Baptist Church appears to have consistent Biblical teaching, solid doctrinal statements, and plenty of areas to serve. I took the 2 day new members class, and met with the pastor recently to discuss membership. I asked him about some key issues (Lordship Salvation, Church Discipline, Eternal Security) and was encouraged by his responses. He also brought up John Piper as a pastor he enjoys...the first person I've met in Billings who knows who Piper is! Yeah!
The church has to vote me into membership (and I'm assured that no one has ever "not" been approved) so it's not official yet. So, I guess as a member of this church, I'll now also be a member of the Southern Baptists...no southern accent to prove it, but just give me time. ;-)

Crazy Early in the Morning
These are the Crazy Mountains near Big Timber, MT. I love these mountains because they're so majestic looking. This picture was taken at about 6:30 in the morning, on my way to visit my sister in Bozeman a few weeks ago. I was setting up my photo, and suddenly the train came into view. It couldn't have been more perfect and I thought I should share it.

Rubber Chickens
Last Christmas I bought my sister Katie a miniature rubber chicken (about 6" tall) and placed it in her stocking. She found it incredibly disgusting, but wasn't disgusted enough to throw it away...she left it under my pillow that night! Ugh! And so it began. It's gone back and forth rather innocently ever since then, but about a week ago it went to a new level. She wired it to the front grill of my bmw!!! So I drove around town (for only about 24 hrs) with a bright yellow rubber chicken in flight.
Well, paybacks are harsh sometimes. ;-) This morning I offered to make her a yummy latte...with extra foam. She asked for vanilla flavoring, but got a little rubber chicken as well. Oh, the look on her face was priceless.
aaaahhhhahhhhaaaa (evil laugh)
I'm rather nervous now about where I'll find it next. Any suggestions about where I should leave it next time it's in my possession?
